Easter Homework Answers
Mrs Carvell and Mrs Higgs wish you a very warm welcome.
Our aim is for us to achieve excellence together, helping each and every child reach their full potential, developing their unique talents through fun, creative, and inspiring lessons and activities
and providing varied opportunities.
In Year 6, we will continue to nurture and develop your child's
level of independence to ensure that he/she is fully prepared

The photographs taken yesterday, on our WWII day, are now on the class page in the Project section below. As you will see from the huge smiles, they thoroughly enjoyed it and they looked fabulous!
from us to you
We are now looking forward to our Eden Camp Visit on Tuesday - if you've not done it already, please ensure the payment and
consent form are returned on Monday.
Following work in English last week, the children have been
asked to think of a subject they feel passionately about and
discuss it with you over the next few days.
Next week, they will prepare and deliver a
speech about the subject they have chosen.

14.01.17 - Reading
We ask that all of our children read at home at least five times per week for approximately 15 minutes. We would be grateful if you could
initial or sign in your child's reading record each time he/she reads at home. If they are not able to achieve this, we will help them by providing additional reading time at school. This is in addition to their daily directed reading time at school, and will ensure they make progress in reading.
Your support is greatly appreciated.

help them to keep on track with homework tasks and
homework due dates. We hope this will also provide you with
the information you need to support your child.
Friday 7th April to Monday 24th April
Please complete each paper, check your answers and then work through your gaps
in knowledge (Learning from mistakes)
1. Paper 1
2. Paper 2
2. 10 x Reading
A Child's War
Reading homework will count towards one of the 5 a week.
Y5/6 Spellings will be learnt through English lessons.
It is important that you plan your homework time well and avoid leaving it until the last minute.
This will help you to report difficulties early, so that we have time to help you, and that the
standard of your work is not rushed and so meets expectation.
