Welcome back to another week of Home School Learning, continuing our topic on Amazing Journeys. This week we travel again to Fairy Tale Land, with the work centred around the fairy tale story of Red Riding Hood.
We are continuing to work on Phase 4 phonics. Please keep practising the Phase 3 tricky words and sounds. To make it easier for you to find the resources we have added two new pages- Phase 2 Phonics and Phase 3 Phonics. Included are the tricky word songs, links to websites and documents with activities/words and sentences to read. If you would like more support please have a look at these two pages.
Just a reminder:
Phase 2 looks at VC/CVC words - simple 2 and 3 letter words e.g. in, at, cat, dog, hen. It also looks at reading and writing simple captions and sentences, using these words e.g a fat cat; The dog can run.
Phase 3 introduces digraphs and trigraphs e.g. ai, ee, igh and looks at reading and writing simple captions and sentences, using these words e.g
The chair is hard.
During the past Home Learning weeks we revised two Phase 3 sounds a week, so if it helps you can also look back at previous weeks phonics work to watch power points and videos again.
We hope this is helpful for you.
