Today we are writing information in sentences about an imaginary pet tiger.
Talk about what you might have to do if you had a pet tiger. Share ideas together and write phrases/ key words on a whiteboard/ paper. Think about the jobs the zookeeper had to do last week.
Now write information about your pet tiger so that someone else would be able to look after it when you go on holiday. Remember to explain what they like to eat, their favourite toy, where they sleep etc. Children can write in a non-chronological style (writing how to look after them but not in a particular order) or as a set of instructions (building on the instruction writing from last week) First chop up the meat. Next feed the tiger chunks of meat.
