Today we are revising the ure trigraph. Watch Geraldine the giraffe teach the ure trigraph.

Geraldine the Giraffe learns /ure/

Watch UK school teacher Mr Thorne and Youtube sensation Geraldine the Giraffe take you on a learning journey through the world of phonics, grammar, spelling ...

Did you find that easy? Well done! We have practised the ure trigraph before. Over the next coming weeks we will be revising many of the sounds we have learnt before. This is all good practise and will help you with your reading and writing.

Now here are some words to help you with the ure trigraph:

Great, now can you think of any other words with the ure trigraph? Now pick some words and write some sentences using the ure trigraph.

Phase 2 and 3 sounds practise

Now have a look at the phase 2 and 3 sound sheets. How many sounds can you remember? The pictures will give you a clue. Ask your grown up to tick all the sounds you know without any help. Good work! Now make a list of sounds you found tricky and write them in your book. As an extra activity, why not have a go at choosing one or two of these words and practising them daily? You could make up words with these sounds in or make up sentences.  You could write the sounds on pebbles and play a fun game with your grown ups!

Have a go at these phonics worksheets. Complete the ones you can do with only a little help.

Challenge task- Do you think you can find the words that are hiding in this wordsearch?

Well done for all your hard work today!
