On Monday 11th February 2019, Year 5 visited a Mosque in Derby. Whilst there, they learnt lots of information about Islam and considered stereotyping of believers. At The Open Centre, they learnt about the Arabic alphabet, playing games, writing in sand and writing their own translated name. When they returned to school, they created some quiz questions - they had clearly learnt a lot of information! Thank you to Mrs Smethem, Mrs Noon and Mrs Haslam-Fox for accompanying us.
