Mini Woodlands

Geography: The children began by looking at aerial photos of woodland.  They then used trays and tough spots, lined with sand, to create their own woodlands.  They included deciduous and conifer areas, paths, stone walls & fences, streams, ponds, car-parks & playgrounds, in addition to the homes of animals such as rabbits, foxes and badgers.

Once completed, they made maps from the photos taken.
