The FAQ's for parents has received positive feedback. I thought that I would do one for us to see if it helps. I may not have been asked these questions directly by a member of staff but am aware that in doing so they will provide help and support.
You will need to check the FAQ's for parents as well, as I don't intend to repeat information and your question may be a public one that parents will need the answer to as well. CLICK HERE.

Question – Will anything change again with pupils numbers and timetables – it’s difficult to plan with changes taking place?
We don’t plan on changing anything. So we hope not. But the two changes we made were obvious to make given the implications on removing a mixed age group. In summary -
Question - Are you going to share information on which staff can or can't attend work, which staff are ill or which staff are self isolating?
Not at this time, I have always considered this information personal and private.
Question - I am not ill, I have told you I am self isolating - what does working at home mean?
Teachers have been asked to ensure that their website page has daily activities for children. Office staff have been given tasks by Claire.
Teachers - at present, whilst working from home, you are expected to
All staff, teachers, TA's, office and Midday supervisors that have a computer at home that will allow them to are to do the St. John's Ambulance First Aid training. CLICK HERE.
Extra information about this is on the updates for staff for the entry of Tuesday 22nd April. CLICK HERE.
It may be that any member of staff working at home will be contacted by phone by a member of the SLT. We may need information to help us in school, such as information on an order that you have placed, some money that you have spent or a child in your class.
Whilst working at home you are expected to help with these questions.
Question - I am ill - am I expected to update my web page with activities or carry our any other working at home duties?
No. You are not expected to do any work activities whilst you are ill.
It would be helpful if you are able to get a message to a year group colleague to update activities for you on your class page.
Could teachers please tell RA when letting him know they are ill if they have arranged for this to take place. If not' RA will add a message to parents of that teacher letting them know that there may be no work uploaded for them.
Question - What do I do if i have displayed symptoms, a household member has displayed symptoms or I can't come to work for any other reason.
We have made a new staff absence section to help with all the government links that we can find. CLICK HERE.
Question - Can I upload pictures of children learning at home to the class page?
Yes, please do! I'm sure the children will really enjoy and appreciate this. However, it is vitally important for us to safeguard every child. With this in mind, and as you aren't controlling the photograph being taken, each photograph will need to be thoroughly checked to ensure that nothing in the photo (including in the background) can be used to identify the child, their confidential details or anything that the child is involved with (clubs etc). You will also need to be especially careful not to upload photographs of children where permission has not been granted (LAC, PLAC etc.....). Please also be aware that parents can only share photographs using your email address, as the facility to upload photos isn't available via the contact form.
MC shared an email with all teachers on 28.4.20 about the importance of being careful with children's names.
Question - How did you upload a video onto the headteacher blog that was more then 45 seconds long?
Primary Site only let us upload small video onto our school website.
If you want to upload a longer video it is easy. When in India, Helen, Jennie and I uploaded videos onto a school youtube channel and then shared the link.
This is what I did with the headteacher blog. This means that the video of me reading the poem is actually on youtube (it's locked and secret you can't find it through normal searches) and the link is shared on our school website. If you want to do this I will gladly help -
