Procedures at the start of the day for all children in reception to year 6
- A member of the leadership will open the school gate at 8.50am every morning. Children are to go straight to their classrooms where their teacher will be waiting for them.
- A member of staff is also available on the playground to support parents and/or children if needed.
- The gate closes at 9.00am.
- Children that arrive after 9.00am need to go to the main entrance at the front of school.
- The morning register is taken at 9.00am once the children are in the classroom.

Procedures at the end of the day for children in reception to year 6.
- The gate will be opened at 3.20pm by the caretaker.
- Parents of reception and infant children are invited to come onto the playground to meet their children.
- Parents of junior children are encouraged to wait out the front of school to help older children gain some independence.
- School finishes at 3.30pm when children will leave their classrooms.
- Children in reception and year 1 will be handed over to parents by their teachers.
- The caretaker will lock the gate once everyone has left the playground.
All children are told that if their parent or carer that is picking them up is not there that they are to come straight back into school and go to their class or the front office. Please help us keep children safe by regularly reminding your child of this and by having an agreed pick up point where you will always be.
Children in reception to year 6 need to be in school every day from 9.00am to 3.30pm. This totals 32.5 hours a week.
Procedures for Nursery children.
Start of the session
Parents or carers are to bring their nursery child to the nursery gate at the start of their session. The nursery staff will welcome you and take your child into the nursery building.
End of the session
Parents or carers will come into the first nursery playground. Nursery children will be brought to their adult by a member of nursery staff.
