The ‘I Belong’ programme is a national initiative designed to help schools make computer science more inclusive and inspiring for all pupils, with a particular focus on encouraging more girls to take an interest in the subject. It supports teachers to understand the barriers that some learners face and provides practical strategies, activities, and resources to help build confidence, spark curiosity, and ensure every child feels that they truly belong in computer science. Through this programme, schools aim to create a more diverse, equitable learning environment where all children can see themselves succeeding in the digital world.
