Teaching and Learning assistant to work in nursery

We are recruiting a teaching and learning assistant to come and work in our nursery from September 2017. Closing date for applications is Sunday 9th July 2017 and we intend to interview on Friday 14th July.

The successful candidate will work in the new nursery for sessions that the nursery is open and will work in the established reception classes for any sessions that the nursery is not open. Seventy children will be attending our reception in September 2017. Nursery sessions are from 8.55am to 11.55am in the mornings and then 12.35pm to 3.35pm in the afternoons. As it stands we’ve had applications to open the nursery for seven sessions a week in September 2017, however we hope that this increases during the year.

The post is temporary, for one school year only, starting in September 2017 and finishing in July 2018. During our nursery’s first year, from September 2017 to July 2018, we will be able to learn from the number of children we have apply for places help us to plan for staffing from September 2018 with more certainty than we have been able to this year. We are therefore planning to offer a permanent teaching and learning assistant post from September 2018.

All information, and invitation to come and have a look at St. John's and the application form can be found on the Derbyshire vacancies web site.
