Book Spine
At St. John's we offer children the opportunity to explore a range of books throughout their school journey. These books are enjoyed as a whole class as part of some of our daily reading sessions.
Our book spine is diverse and inclusive: offering children the opportunty to enjoy books across a range of genres that showcase characters from a wide variety of backgrounds.
We hope that each child finds a character who 'mirrors' themselves and have many opportunities to look through a 'window' to another world.
Children also enjoy hearing / performing a 'Poem of the Week' each week with their class.
