Welcome to Tissington

Hi everyone!

My name is Mrs Littleworth and I am so excited to be your teacher as you step into Year 6 and top of the school at St John's. After meeting you all, I just know that we're going to have a fantastic year full of wonderful learning and growing, while having fun along the way. What a team we are going to be!

I have been a teacher for seven years now; it has always been my dream to be a teacher. Over the last seven years, I have been living and working in Sheffield but over the summer, I'll be moving to Derbyshire ready to be your teacher in September. I have taught Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 and can't wait to teach you all as my first class at St John's. When I was at school, I remember finding maths tricky. Now, maths is my favourite subject to teach. I also love teaching music, science and history. We've got some fantastic history projects ahead of us next year.

In my time away from school, I love to bake (although my final result often doesn't turn out how I intended)! Going for long walks in the countryside is also one of my favourite things to do, especially in the Autumn time when it's a little bit muddy and cold and there is a comforting hot chocolate waiting at the end. I have a border collie called Rosie and my favourite animals are alpacas. In the evenings, I like to go to hot yoga classes - this is my time to relax!

It was great to meet you all for our transition morning; I'm very much looking forward to learning more about you! Have a great summer holiday and I'll see you in September.
