• Weather update 28.2.18 - 4.30pm

  Please plan on school being open tomorrow, Thursday 1st March.

   

  We hope to have school open as usual tomorrow (Thursday 1st March). At present the BBC weather forecast, see below, shows no more snow to fall tonight. We will monitor this forecast throughout the night and in the early hours of tomorrow morning to help us decide if we can open safely.

• Weather update 28.2.18 - 1.30pm

  At present all children are safe in school, we are fully staffed and children are safe in warm classrooms. However, parents that are concerned about the journeys to and from school in this adverse weather are able to come and collect their children during the afternoon.

   

  Parents that wish to do this, need to come to the front of the school and sign their child out. A member of staff will then go and collect your child from their classroom and bring them to you.

   

  Parents that do not wish to collect their child can leave them in school with their teachers until 3.30pm, when they will be dismissed in the normal manner.

   

  The planned fencing club that was due to take place tonight, is cancelled, however staff will be on site until 4.30pm to look after any children that were due to attend this and cannot be collected early.

• Yorkshire Wildlife park letter to Y1 parents

  A letter is going home to all Y1 parents today with information about a new date for the postponed Yorkshire trip that was due to take place tomorrow.

  School is open and we plan to remain open all day (28.2.18). However we will, as always, continue to monitor the weather to ensure that children and staff are safe. All updates will be posted on our website and on our twitter page.

  Many thanks to the vast majority of parents that check our website for information before ringing school, it really helps us at school as we find it very difficult to talk to all parents individually.

• Y1 Yorkshire wildlife trip postponed

  We have cancelled the Y1 trip to Yorkshire Wildlife Park on Thursday 1st March, due to poor weather. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause, especially to parents that have taken time off work to help on the trip.

   

  As soon as we have information about potentially re-arranging the date we will be able to let families know about a new date or refund arrangements.

• Reception church service postponed

  Wed 28 Feb 2018

  Reception children will not be walking to church on Wednesday 28th February due to snow and ice on the ground.

  The service will take place on Monday 12th March at 10am instead.

  We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause, especially to people that may have taken time off work.
