  • Carol concert - Monday 20th December

    Mon 20 Dec 2021

    Updated on Monday 20th 11.40am

At the time of writing we are still looking forward to this event taking place.

Parents and families are invited to our annual carol concert at St. Peter's church at 7pm Monday 20th December. We will be joined by our school choir and Heage Brass Band. This traditional service is a favourite of many families and we are looking forward to it returning after not having one in 2020.

To ensure we stay as safe as possible Rev. Anne has shared that all adults in the congregation need to wear a face covering throughout the entire service and that seats will be available upstairs and downstairs, giving us plenty of space.

We are also asking all adults to support us in taking and LFD test before the service. All adults and visitors to school are being asked to do this before coming into the school and we are asking for this to extend to this service.

Finally, to help ensure we enjoy the evening, please remember that

    • All children need to be accompanied by an adult, this is a service for the family.
    • No tickets are needed.
    • We have let Father Christmas know about the service and hope that he is able to join us if he can find time in his busy schedule.
  • Nursery admissions consulation

We are inviting our community to take part in a consultation regarding admissions to our nursery as we consider offering the option of children attending for up to 30 hours a week. At present children can only stay for up to 15 hours a week.

More information and a link to the survey (that should only take a few minutes to complete) can be found in this letter - CLICK HERE

    Many thanks for your help.

  • Nativity tickets

    Thu 09 Dec 2021

All children have now brought home two tickets for adults to come and watch their Christmas nativities.

We are pleased that all families in reception and year 2 were able to get tickets for their first choice performance and that only a few families in year 1 had to have tickets for their second choice.

Families that did not complete the online order form have been sent two tickets home for one of the productions, the school can not swap these. In order to keep number of adults on site to a minimum we are not distributing any spare tickets.

Please make sure that you bring your tickets with you to the performances so that we can ensure we are only letting in the correct people, allowing us to keep the number of adults in the hall to a minimum at all times.

All adults will be required to wear a face covering in school and are asked to take an LFD test on the morning of the production.

  • Christmas Jumper day

    Thu 09 Dec 2021

Children are invited to wear festive jumpers, t-shirts and hair bands on Wednesday 15th December.

There is no charge for this, we'll just be doing it for fun and to help us enjoy our Christmas dinner day.

  • Lost Property

Thu 02 Dec 2021 Mrs Carvell

As was shared last week in the weekly headteacher blog, the considerable amount of lost/unclaimed property, which has accumulated since September (6 large bin bags!), has been placed outside school. This will be repeated tomorrow, at the end of the school day, as there was a significant amount still left unclaimed including coats, trainers, water bottles, lunch boxes, school jumpers and PE kits to name just a few.

We check through lost property regularly and do our very best to return items to their rightful owners. Where items are named and placed in the lost property box, this is easy and items are returned to the children. However, the vast amount of property is not named and therefore is impossible to return.

Please ensure all property is named and checked regularly so that it can be returned to you easily following a lost property check.

Thank you, and I hope you find anything that may be missing in the lost property abyss!

    Mrs Carvell
