All the best for the future. We will miss you all.
Mrs Carvell
We originally published our term dates for school year 2021/2022 last year. However, last month the Department for Education have shared that in school year 21/22 all schools have been asked to close for an extra day. CLICK HERE
In summary schools have been told to add an extra school closure day on account of the extra bank holiday for the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen. Everyone in the UK will now have 9 Bank holidays in 2022 instead of the normal 8.
In conjunction with Belper Secondary school we can share that St. John's will now be closed on Wednesday 22nd December 2021. Children will now break up for Christmas on Tuesday 21st December 2021 at 3.30pm.
We have updated our term dates and uploaded them onto our website.

Last week lots of our children spent an hour with their new September 2021 teachers. All of our teachers have now shared a picture and some information about them and your child's new class on our website.
Over the next few weeks our class pages for 2020-2021 will be archived and then new class pages for 2021-2022 will be set up. Once this has been done teachers will be able to use their new 2021-2022 class pages to share information about PE days, homework etc.
Fun Fact
Every August lots of class teachers archive their old class pages and begin again ready for the new year.
If you scroll down to the bottom of our class pages you find these archived pages - they contain lots of happy memories for the children of their times in other classes when they were younger.

Well done England football team. There is certainly a very happy feeling today at school as we look forward to Sunday's final.
To help the children enjoy the weekend we are going to have a sporty non uniform day at school tomorrow, Friday 9th July and all children are invited to come to school wearing sport clothes or colours of the team or sport that they enjoy. This can be any team, any sport, however, I imagine that there will be plenty of "Three lions on your shirt" and lots of red and white. I'm also pleased to share that the kitchen will be preparing red and white cakes for pudding for children having school dinners.
Our infant children will also be enjoying their sport morning tomorrow and are therefore now able to spend the day in their sporty clothes.
