ONE - Admissions to reception in September 2022

Starting school is an exciting time for you and your family. Mr. Averis and the staff and children at St. John's look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to your child's new school.

Children start primary school in the reception class in the September after their fourth birthday. Therefore, if your child was born between September 1st 2017 and August 31st 2018 they will be able to start primary school in September 2022 in one of our three reception classes. Families of children born between September 1st 2017 and August 31st 2018 who are already attending St John's Nursery, still need to apply for their child to start school in September 2022.

Applications for September 2022 have now closed. Parents that have not applied for a school place still need to do so, but their application will be marked as late. More information on how to apply and how the Local Authority process late applications can be found on the authority's admission page. CLICK HERE

Parents that have applied for a place at St. John's will be told by the Local Authority on the 19th April 2022 if their application has been successful. We will then write to these families in May welcoming them to St. John's and inviting them to our Introduction Evening at 6pm on Thursday 23rd June. If you have not received your welcome letter from St. John's by May 27th please contact the school so that we can check our records.
