Holiday Activities and Food Program
Families of children who receive pupil premium are invited to register their children for holiday clubs where they will receive free activities and meals. These are sometimes known as HAF clubs.
These activities take place during the school holidays. Information about them is below.
If you have any questions please contact the school and we will be able to give you your HAF code that you will need to apply for a place.
Pupil Premium spending statements
Our pupil premium spending statements below show how we plan on spending our pupil premium money during the financial year.
The pupil premium strategy documents are published every school year to show the impact of the spending and give a little more information around the pupil premium money that we have.
Service Pupil Premium (SSP)
Service Pupil Premium (SSP) is additional funding provided to schools to help support the pastoral, emotional and social wellbeing of children with parents who are serving, or have previously served, in the Armed Forces. Schools currently receive £360 per eligible pupil.
At St John’s Primary School, we recognise that children from service families may face unique challenges, including periods of separation from family members, relocation and changes to home circumstances. We are committed to ensuring these children feel supported, included and able to thrive both academically and emotionally.
Children who are eligible for Service Pupil Premium are identified on our school register, enabling staff to be aware of their circumstances and provide appropriate support when needed. We monitor their wellbeing and progress carefully and work closely with families to identify any additional support that may be beneficial.
To support our Service Pupil Premium pupils, we offer a range of provision, including:
We continually review our provision to ensure that children from service families receive the support they need to feel happy, secure and successful at school.
