School days

This project teaches children about their own school and locality, both today and in the past. They compare schooling in the Victorian era to their experiences today.

Year 1 invited Mr Averis talk about the history of St. John's Primary school.

We ordered events from the history of St. John's, on a timeline.

We learned about the artist, James Rizzi. He inspired us to create our own artwork! We were very proud to invite our parents into school to view our art gallery.

As part of our companion project, chop, slice and mash, we designed, prepared and assembled our very own salads!

We used our slicing and grating skills to design and make a healthy sandwich. We chose the ingredients we needed.
