I am Mrs Richardson your new Reception teacher and the EYFS Lead.

I am really excited to meet you all in September. 

I have been teaching for over twenty years in schools over Derbyshire and have had experience of working in both the Early Years and Key Stage 1. I love teaching and am passionate about providing a fun, happy, safe classroom where we all share our learning adventure together.

I have lived in the Belper area for over 20 years. I have two daughters, one training to be a midwife at university and the other starting university to study History in September. My husband and I have run the youth group at St Peter's church for over twenty years and we are also both members of the worship team there. We love to go on holiday to wild and remote places especially the west coast of Scotland and Ireland. I enjoy going for walks along beaches or in deep dark woods!  I have a kiln at home where I make fused glass in my workshop. My favourite chocolate is a Curly Wurly and I love to munch one while watching a film. I love reading children's stories and have a great collection that I can't wait to share with you. What is your favourite story? One of mine is 'Oi Frog'
