Comic Relief Day 2021 (19th March)

Save the date: Friday 19th March, 2021 - Comic Relief Day.

Comic Relief Day

On Friday 19th March 2021, we would like you to join in the fun and help us to raise money for this fantastic cause. We always aim to support charity events at a local, national and global level. The last year has been incredibly difficult for lots of people as we have struggled with many issues, financially, emotionally and socially. Hopefully, Comic Relief day will provide us with an opportunity to have some fun, laugh and smile.

Donations

Children will not need to bring any money into school as you can donate, directly, by clicking on the link, below for our JustGiving page. Once again, we would appreciate your support in encouraging your children to 'earn' their donation money by doing lots of odd jobs around the house. We hope that this will help them to feel that they have made their own valuable contribution.

Events

Children are invited to come to school in fancy dress or non-uniform, in exchange for their donation money. The theme, this year, is 'Superheroes.' However, children can come to school in whatever they feel comfortable in. They may need to wear some base layers, if they choose to wear dressing up clothes, as it is still quite chilly outside.

In School

Throughout the course of the day classes may carry out some fun activities. Children may be asked to join in an online Comic Relief quiz and pit their wits against other classes. They may take part in a pop quiz or a Lip Sync battle. As the theme is Superheroes, they may be asked to share a secret superpower - maybe they have a special dance move, a silly walk or a brilliant balance???

I hope that we can all join together and have a great day, while raising money for a worthy cause at the same time.

Thank you

Mrs Robinson
