Friday 18th December

A letter is coming home tonight about our Year 1 'Memorable Experience' after Christmas to start our new Project 'Bright Lights, Big City'.

Below is a copy of the letter that came home this week regarding homework ideas for our new project 'Bright Lights, Big City'.
Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

4th December 2020

Just a reminder that all children need to bring a small shoe box to school. We will be starting to make Memory Boxes on Monday 8th December.

If you have any extras at home we would be very happy to receive them!

Thank you blush

17/11/20 Egg Boxes

As part of our RE lessons we will be starting our projects where we need a 6 egg box. Please bring them into school from today for next weeks lesson.

Many thanks- The year 1 Teachers.

Welcome back! We hope you all had a lovely half term and are ready for the term ahead.

Many thanks to those that have sent in baby artefacts. We had a lovely time this afternoon looking at first teddies, first shoes, baby grows, baby photos and lots more. Don’t worry if you didn’t send any today, you can send them in any time. Please check book bags for a note home tonight about sending in a family photograph next week.

Now that the weather is getting colder, please check that your child has joggers and a jumper in their PE bag as we always try to go out for PE in less than perfect weather. After all, they do say there’s no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes.

We thank you for your support this half term. It has been a pleasure getting to know your children and we look forward to many more exciting times with them this year. Please see below for next term's project homework. We are looking forward to seeing any pieces that you manage to complete over half term but please don't worry if you're having a good rest as homework is welcome at any point during the half term. Have a good break - Mrs Girling, Mrs Garbutt and Miss Lemon.

Dear Parents,

We are in need of cardboard boxes (cereal box sized please), yoghurt pots and newspapers (not stapled) for our craft lessons please.

We’d be really grateful if you can send us what you have over the next few weeks but we’re in particular need of the cereal boxes asap please!

Many thanks,

Mrs Girling   Mrs Garbutt   Miss Lemon

Sunday 20th September

We hope you’re having a lovely weekend. Don’t forget to bring in some woodland treasures tomorrow as the children will be making woodland crowns! Happy hunting 😊.

Sunday 6th September

Hello everyone, we hope you're all having a lovely weekend.

Please could we remind you that unless you are dropping off an older sibling, Year 1 children should come in at our official time of 9.05am

At the end of the day we will bring the children onto the playground at 3.30pm. Year 1 parents and carers please stand under the material canopy. This will allow us to see you a little more easily and 'release' children quickly.

Don't forget tomorrow is our 'Enchanted Woodland Picnic' on the school field! We have everything crossed for dry weather, but please remember waterproof coats and sensible shoes (wellies if you choose) just in case.

Please remember packed lunches if you haven't asked for a school packed lunch.

Thank you!
