Hello, I am Mrs Newton, your Year 4 Teacher for September. Most of you will already know me as we are moving from Year 3 to Year 4 together.
I worked at St. John's as a supply teacher for many years. In 2018, I started working there full-time as a Year 2 teacher. Even though I loved teaching Year 2, I transferred to Year 5 in 2019 and then Year 3 this year. I have to say though, that Year 4 is probably one on my favourite year groups to teach, having taught Year 4 in the past. I am excited about our projects.
I have lived in Belper all my life. I even came to this school when I was your age! My 2 boys, William and Adam also came here too, so it is a very special school for me and I absolutely love working here.
You may have seen me out and about walking my German Shepherd called Mischa. Don't forget to say hello or give me a wave next time you see me.
