Week 2
Another super week-well done Ashbourne Alligators!
The week started with a walk around the school, visiting different members of staff in our school community. We also had a visit from Mr Averis who shared his ‘Me in a bag’ with the children. The children really enjoyed seeing what he had put inside and asking lots of questions. They were particularly impressed with his huge bunch of keys!
We have started our new Pathways book, Peace at last. We enjoyed sharing our own photographs of us tucked up in bed and talking about our bedtime routines. We also enjoyed making model beds in the construction area.
The highlight of the week was most certainly our first Forest School Friday. The children enjoyed listening to the story of Elmer on the field and then going off to collect natural items in as many different colours as they could find, before sticking them onto their Elmer picture. To finish off, we collected autumn treasures and returned back to the classroom with a huge haul of beautiful, shiny conkers for us to use in our learning next week.
