Week 2
Another amazing week! We have been learning about nocturnal and diurnal animals. We compared an owl and a bat and have been drawing owls using different media such as paint and charcoal. We have also been using the story 'Owl Babies' to inspire our writing and role play.
We explored our investigation from last week and were surprised by what had happened to the eggs. Some of our predictions were correct -we were surprised how much the cola and orange juice stained the egg shells and it was a good reminder to brush our teeth twice a day! We have also been using our sense of smell to try and work out what was inside each cup. Some nocturnal animals use their sense of smell to find food in the dark. On Friday, we had a fantastic time at Forest School. We hunted for the Gruffalo then used dominoes in our Active Maths.
