Week 3
This week, we have continued to learn about the three little pigs story and the children are starting to write some amazing words and captions using the graphemes they have been taught. They have worked incredibly hard and have been so excited to use their phonic knowledge - we are so proud of them!
We also had a letter from the Three Billy Goats Gruff! The troll had smashed the bridge down and the children had to work in teams to build a new stronger one. We built lots of bridges outside too and practiced our positional language.
We have also been shape detectives this week looking for circles and triangles. We explored and used materials to make our own Kandinsky inspired picture.
On Friday we had a fantastic morning exploring ice in the mud kitchen. In the afternoon it was forest school Friday where Mrs Richardson showed us how to safely light the fire pit. We were lucky enough to toast a marshmallow - delicious!
