Week 5

This week we are learning about the weather and seasons. The children have created puddle ripple pictures by printing objects and also created a music using weather symbols.

During the week we kept a weather chart to record what the weather was like in the morning and afternoon and discussed how it had changed.

We then carried out an investigation to see which material would be the best to keep Buxton Bear dry in the rain. The children recorded their findings and we excited to see what would happen to each material.

On Monday, we learnt all about the para olympics and took part in some seated sports. ⚽️ It was tricky keeping our bottoms on the floor but the children did really well.

On Friday, we spent time picking up litter to make our school grounds a nicer place using the litter pickers from Amber Valley Council. Then in forest school we played a listening game where we had to find specific objects that were described. It was a beautiful afternoon.
