Week 5
This week we were very excited to recieve a letter from the King of Story Land, asking us to work in groups to write some new fairytale stories for his birthday! We used all our knowledge of fairytales and made our own stick puppets. We then used these to come up with our own fairytale stories and the children had some wonderful ideas! We even acted them out using our puppets!
We loved exploring shadows and used torches to investigate how to make them bigger or smaller. It was great fun and they created their own stories using a 'giant shadow' and a 'small shadow'.
It was the first week of Advent so we helped decorate the classroom and we made decorations for our tree. We are so proud of our stars, paper chains and hung a mouse as our 'angel' for the top of the tree. We also put out our nativity set and enjoyed exploring it and using it to help us understand the story of Christmas.
