Year 3 & 4

Welcome to Year 3 and Year 4

with Mrs Heer, Miss Walker and Miss Proud

Welcome to Years 3 and 4.

We have a year filled with great projects and experiences for you all to enjoy.

On our class pages, there is lots of information to help children and parents throughout the year which we hope you will find helpful.

If you have any questions or need to send a message to your child's class teacher; please send a note via your child, or contact the school office to arrange a suitable appointment.

Start and End of the Day

At the beginning of the day children will walk directly to their classroom.

At the end of the day children will leave the Years 3 and 4 block.  If parents are meeting younger siblings on the playground, your child will meet you there.  Children with no siblings at school or older siblings will meet you at the front of school.

Please make sure that your child knows where they will be met.

The children have been told that if they cannot find the adult they go home with, they should return into school and go to the school office.

Thank you for your support in ensuring a smooth start and end to the day.

PE Days

Please ensure that children have their kits in school on their PE days.  These will be sent home at the end of each half-term to be washed and returned.

Please could parents help the children to be ready for PE by making sure they do not wear earrings on PE days.  Also, children with long hair should have their hair tied back for PE.

Please refer to the Parent's Handbook for guidance on PE Kit.

Music Partnership

We’re excited to offer children in Year 3 and Year 4 the opportunity to learn the violin as part of our music programme. Lessons will take place weekly during school hours.

To make the most of this opportunity, children are expected to:

  • Practise regularly at home to build their skills and confidence.
  • Bring their violin to school every Monday for their lesson.

We look forward to seeing our young musicians grow and enjoy making music together!
