Kolkata Companions
In November 2023 Mrs Richardson asked the teachers to talk to their classes about India and Scott Lane School. The children then had to decide if they would like to be a Kolkata Companion. Their role would be a spokes person for the class, as well as help Mrs Richardson and Mrs Hodgson inform the school about India, Scott Lane school and how we can be better global neighbours.
Each class voted for the pupil who they thought would be good for the job. It was difficult to choose as so many children were eager to take on this new role.
