Phonics:
We are learning 3 sounds this week - e, u, r. Learn one sound a day. Watch Geraldine Giraffe on you tube to see what objects she finds for each letter. Look around the house for things beginning with these sounds. Play I spy. Practise writing them on paper or a whiteboard and in sand or glitter.
Practise these sounds on Thursday and Friday.
Play a sorting game – mix up e/u/r objects/pictures and sort them into the correct letter sound.
Label a basket of fruit and vegetables with initial sounds (see worksheet)
Practise the sounds we have learnt so far every day.

Practise the tricky words – I, no, go, to, the . You can find Phase 2 tricky word songs on you tube.
