Look on Youtube for Phase 2/3 tricky word songs.

This week are going to be revising some of the sounds that we have been learning.

Monday:

Complete the CVC worksheet. Sound out and then write the words. If you find this too tricky then you can play I spy with them. Sound the words out and ask your adult to find the correct word. Then your adult can sound them out for you to find. Then try and write the initial sounds of the words.

Tuesday,

Complete the sorting activity for these sounds zz, qu, sh, th, ng.

Wednesday and Thursday:

Choose some Christmas phonics activities from this booklet. They are reading activities. If you would like to do more then you can choose some words to put in simple sentences and write them.

e.g. The hat is red.

Choose from pages 3-9 and page 12. Pages 10 and 11 are trickier.

Friday:

Christmas stocking poem:

Read and learn the poem. Then change the things you find in the Christmas stocking to make your own poem. Try and give each new word a describing word too.

e.g Two shiny shoes and a fluffy red hat.
