Look at the page of a non-fiction book, like an encyclopedia.

So far this term we have looked at several different text types: Chronological reports, Fiction Stories, Nonsense Poems, Instructions & Recipes.  Now we are turning to Non-Chronological Reports.

Can you identify the features of a non-chronological report?

See if you can spot:

•A heading
•Sub-headings
•Paragraphs
•Bold print
•Illustrations: photographs

                          pictures

•Captions
•Labels
•Fact boxes

We might also find maps, or diagrams.

Can you choose the correct answer to these questions?
