What a fantastic start to the half term!
We’ve had a busy and exciting first week back. The children arrived to find mysterious clues in the playground—and soon discovered that the Three Little Pigs had been trying to build their houses!
Everyone looked brilliant in their costumes for our fairy tale dress-up day. We explored the characters in different stories, discussing who were the heroes and villains, and the children drew their favourite fairy tale characters with great enthusiasm.
Later in the week, we learned about Bonfire Night and experimented with paint to create colourful firework pictures—full of sparkle and excitement!
It’s been an amazing week of creativity, imagination, and learning.

Despite the wet weather, our Forest School session was full of excitement and learning. We began by sheltering under the trees while Mrs Richardson introduced us to the theme of fire, linking to Bonfire Night. The children were eager to try using flint and steel, but the rain became too heavy, and we had to pause both our active maths game and fire-lighting activities. We headed back inside, damp but smiling – and we’re looking forward to trying again next week!
