Week 1
We had a wonderful start to the week and our new project. The children spent most of Tuesday outside enjoying the school grounds and garden. We began by reading a story "Errol's garden" and then used spotting sheets to find flowers, birds, insects, plants and trees.
In the afternoon we went outside to draw our favourite natural objects.
We also carried out a science investigation to help us learn what plants need to grow.
In maths we have been learning about number up to 20 and playing games together using ten frames.
We also welcomed some new tiny caterpillars to the class. We will be watching them grow over the next few weeks and adding more pictures.
