Week 2
This week we have been learning all about Nocturnal and Diurnal animals! We have sorted animals into nocturnal and diurnal and have looked in detail at some of the special features these animals have to help them be nocturnal! We looked at owls and how they have large yellow eyes, big wings and super hearing to allow them to see and find their food! We drew pictures of owls using charcoal and then painted our own owls also! They looked amazing!
We have also looked at the story 'Owl Babies' to link with our learning all about owls.
We used our sense of smell to work out what may be hidden in numbered cups, just like nocturnal animals use their super sense of smell to find their food in the dark.
We had a fantastic time at the Starry Night Treasure Hunt on Tuesday and we hope you had a wonderful time too!
