Week 4
What an exciting week! The chicks have grown so much with some of their adult feathers coming through. The children have loved looking at them and holding them week, asking some really good questions.
We have had some children write signs to go near them to make sure that everyone looks after them and keeps them safe. The caterpillars 🐛 have now all made their chrysalis and we have been learning about metamorphosis and changes in other animals and humans. We have got one that has come out of the cocoon and is doing well. We also has Hettie a large tortoise come to visit us, she is six years old and very fast at moving around the circle.
The children have also enjoyed making little videos with the iPad this week.
In forest school this week we listened to the story of the little red hen and made nests for a chick. We also created our own games using the balls and hoops working together and developing our kicking skills.
