What an exciting week! The eggs quickly starting hatching and by Thursday morning we had 9 fluffy chicks to look after. The children have loved looking at them and are asking some really good questions.
We have had some children write signs to go near them to make sure that everyone looks after them and keeps them safe. The caterpillars 🐛 have now all made their chrysalis and we have been learning about metamorphosis and changes in other animals and humans.
The children have been really creative setting out a theatre and making puppet shows for each other. In maths we have been learning about addition using first, then and now vocabulary.
Rev Elliot visited us on Wednesday to help us answer our key question in RE ‘which stories are special and why’. He read one of his favourite stories about Jonah and the whale to help us think about listening to instructions and following them even if sometimes we don’t want to.
In forest school this week we celebrated David Attenborough’s 100 birthday. We worked together to find natural objects to decorate a large 100.
