Week 4
This week we have travelled all the way to Australia. We have enjoyed singing the continent song, learning about the climate and weather in Australia.
The children were surprised to hear that it is winter now there and when they have Christmas it is their summer. We have written post cards and also written about our favourite animal. We have also been learning about Aboriginal art and writing messages using Aboriginal symbols. The children have also loved listening to didgeridoo music.
On Thursday we had science day! We got water everywhere as we were learing about floating and sinking, water displacement with Archimedes Bath and then making boats and seeing how much cargo it could carry before it sank.
