Week 6
This week we have travelled all the way to Australia. We have enjoyed singing the continent song, learning about the climate and weather in Australia.
The children were surprised to hear that it is winter now there and when they have Christmas it is their summer. We have written post cards and also written about our favourite animal. We have also been learning about Aboriginal art and writing messages using Aboriginal symbols. The children have also loved listening to didgeridoo music.
In maths we have learning to make maps, use positional language and give clear directions. We had great fun making mazes.
