Welcome to Year 3
with Miss Walker and Miss Martin
Welcome to Year 3, your first year as a Junior.
The Year Three Team are as excited as you to experience a year filled with great projects and experiences. On the Year Three Pages, there is lots of information to help children and parents throughout the year which we hope you will find helpful.
If you have any questions or need to send a message to the Year Three Teachers, please send a note via your child, or contact the school office to arrange a suitable appointment.
Start and End of the Day
At the beginning of the day, please could Year Three children enter school through the side door near Miss Martin's Classroom.
At the end of the day, the children will leave the school building through the exit near the school hall. If parents are meeting younger siblings on the playground, the Year Three child will meet them there. Children with no siblings at school or older siblings will meet their parent at the front of school.
Please make sure that your child knows where they will be met.
The children have been told that if they cannot find the adult they go home with, they should return into school and go to the school office.
Thank you for your support in ensuring a smooth start and end to the day.
PE Days
Please ensure that children have their kits in school on their PE days. They may wish to take kit home at the end of the week to be washed and bring them back again on Monday.
Please could parents help the children to be ready for PE by making sure they do not wear earrings on PE days. Also, children with long hair should have their hair tied back for PE. Please ensure that they come to school with their hair tied back, or have a bobble and are able to tie their own hair back on these days.
Please refer to the Parent's Handbook for guidance on PE Kit.
