  • NSPCC. Stay Safe. Speak Out.

    Fri 23 Mar 2018 M Carvell

I am pleased to inform you that the postponed visit by the NSPCC to deliver the Speak out. Stay safe. programme in the Autumn Term has now been rearranged for the Summer Term.

This nationwide programme is delivered to ensure our pupils have the knowledge and understanding they need to stay safe from abuse. With the help of their friendly mascot Buddy, they’ll be presenting an assembly to all of the children in our school on Wednesday 11th April, as well as a workshop for Years 5 and 6 on Thursday 12th April.

For more information please see the letter in the News, Events and community section of this website.

  • Book day - date change

    Fri 02 Mar 2018

Don't throw any costumes away that you have made for what we hoped was going to be book day today.

We will now have our dress up book day on Friday 9th March.

We look forward to seeing children and staff dressed as characters from their favourite books.

  • Weather update 1.3.18 - 6.30pm

    Thu 01 Mar 2018

Unfortunately due to poor weather and no sign of an improvement when looking at the weather forecast school will be closed on Friday 2nd March 2018.

I have been to school at 5pm today to assess the situation and unfortunately feel that in opening I would be exposing children, staff and parents to risks that can be avoided. I apologise for the inconvenience that this may cause, but the safety of the 550 pupils and staff on the roads, pavements and then when in school when walking from building to building has to be our priority.

Due to the very limited chances of an improvement in the weather I hope that the early notice of the closure helps parents and families make arrangements for your children now rather than in the morning.

  • Weather update 1.3.18 - 6.30am

    Thu 01 Mar 2018

Unfortunatley we will be closed on Thursday 1st March 2018 due to the poor weather. We apologise for any inconvenience that this causes.

Please assume that school will be open tomorrow, Friday 2nd March, as normal. We will be monitoring the weather throughout today and tonight to help make this decision. We will post information on our website and twitter feed as soon as we can.
