Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Many families take the opportunity to use the walk too and from school to exercise their dogs whilst enjoying the school run. Our dog loving families rightfully enjoy this daily walk too and from school.
Due to the one way system of dropping children off and picking children up some families have begun carrying their pets through the school and across the playground.
After the Easter break we will not be allowing this to take place and will return to the 'no dogs on school grounds' procedure that we had in place before COVID and our one way system. Parents that want to use the walk to school to walk their dogs are still encouraged to, but will need to pick up and drop off their children on Laund Nook and not come through the school gates.
Thank you for your support in this matter as we work to keep all our families happy and safe, including our dog lovers and our children that are apprehensive about dogs and need to be reassured that our playground is a safe place.
Many thanks for all of your support last week.
All of the children that have done pocket money jobs around the house have raised £534 for this worthy cause. Well done to them.

Unfortunately it has been confirmed that year 5 children will not be swimming this year. We understand that this will be disappointing for some families and children and apologise for any upset caused.
We will inform parents of these children about any possibilities of swimming lessons for some or all the children in this year group whilst their children are in year six.
We are supporting comic relief again this year. We have a special comic relief section on our website. CLICK HERE.
To raise money for this cause we are encouraging children to do some pocket money jobs around the home to earn a bit of money to donate and come in non uniform.
Please do not send any money into school. Parents are invited to donate the pocket money that their children earn through our "St. John's Comic Relief Just Giving Page". To donate any money tomorrow follow the links from our Comic Relief page.
When we used a just giving page for our Children in Need fundraising it was lovely to read what jobs children had done around the home.
Families of children that receive pupil premium funded free school meals will again be getting vouchers during the Easter holiday. These families also received vouchers during the Christmas and February half term holiday.
New vouchers will automatically be issued to families, unless any contact details have changed. If you have changed your emails address or mobile phone number you need to let us know by 2pm on Monday 15th March. Please ring the school office if this is the case.
All of us are hoping that the residentials we are planning for this summer are able to take place. We are still making plans for the trips to go ahead and will continue to do so up until it is confirmed that they can't take place. With this in mind we have sent home letters today for year 5 and year 6 families about future payment dates.
It is very important that families support us by keeping to these deadline days to help us ensure that we keep places for your children.

Mrs. Astell has shared information reminding parents about our world book day plans for Thursday of this week.
Even though some children will be at home on this day, we will still be celebrating books and reading at home and at school with some fun events.
