On Monday, we came to school in our odd socks and learnt about respecting others by using kind hands, feet, and words. We talked about what to do if someone was bullying them: say “stop” and tell a trusted adult.
On Tuesday, the children each made a poppy and stood brilliantly for the two-minute silence at 11 o’clock.
This week, our project focus has been Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
We taste-tested different porridge to see which was our favourite. The children voted for plain or mixed berries, and we made a human bar graph to show our findings—it was even!
We also made a mask of our favourite character from the story
.
We have been using props to retell our pathway-to-write book, The Three Little Pigs, and counting objects to match the correct numerals: 1, 2, or 3.
In RE, we are learning about celebrations, and this week we introduced our new big question: “Why do Christians perform nativity plays?”
The children were fantastic on Friday, looking brilliant in their spots, fancy dress, Pudsey T-shirts, or ears. We also loved choosing our cakes—they were super tasty!
