Week 2

This week our project focus has been Goldilocks and Three Bears.

We taste tested different porridge to see which was our favourite. The children had to vote to let me know which was their favourite, plian or golden syrup. It was quite even!  We have also been investigating materials and sorting them. We also made a mask of our favourite character from the story.

We have been using props to retell our pathway to write book The Three Little Pigs and counting objects to the correct numeral 1,2 or 3.

In RE we are learning about celebrations and this week we learnt about Diwali - the festival of lights and made our own clay diva. Once the clay is dry we will paint and decorate them.

We had our first Forest School session on Wellie Wednesday. We went into the woods and found that Hansel and Gretal had left us a sweet shaped name tag to find. We also found stick man and gave him a new home. The children created ginger bread houses and sweet shapes filling them with autumn leaves like Andy Goldsworthy.

The children were fantastic on Friday looking brilliant in their spots, fancy dress, Pudsey t-shirts or ears. We complete our Pudsey run during PE and Pudsey joined us on the big screen. We also loved going and choosing our cake - they were super tasty!
