Week 2

We had a wonderful time listening to the children sharing their 'Me in a bag!' bags this week. Lots of special objects including dancing shoes, teddies, lego, swimming goggles and much more. Thank you for helping your child prepare their bag.

We have started the reception baseline with your child this week and this will carry on next week too.

We have enjoyed reading Pete the Cat and singing along to all his 'groovy' songs this week!  Cas and Pete the Cat are now good friends.  We have also been reading we're going on a bear hunt and turning it into we are going on a mouse 🐭 hunt.

Another classroom friend we met this week was Mr Potato Head who has also been helping us learn how we need to sit when we are on the carpet.  Eyes looking, ears listening, lips closed, legs crossed and hands still. If we want to answer we have to put up our hand and wait!  If we forget, Mr Potato Head shows us how.

We then made listening ears and went for a walk around school to listen to the sounds around us.  Another jam packed week of fun!  Well done Castleton Cats.

We all took our 'music sticks' outside and tapped and scrapped our sticks to create different sounds.  It was great fun.
