Week 4

This week we have had a royal time looking at traditional tales that have kings, queens, prince and princesses in them.

Lots of role play and language has been developed over the week, as well as making royal crowns, magic wands and investigating poisoned apples from snow whites wicked stepmother. We used our magic wands to cast spells and move to music.

In maths we have been learning about the numerals 4 and 5, singing lots of number songs, using five frames and exploring different ways to make the numbers using counters.

We created some royal bunting for the king and queen by practicing writing our harder to read and spell words.

This week in Forest School Cinderella and the fairy Godmother had left us their magic potion box to create a magic spell to turn the pumpkin into a carriage. We had to find objects on our potion lists and make a magic wand.

It was a cold and frosty session this week.

We also celebrated the start of Advent by putting up the Christmas tree, making decorations and starting our class advent calendar.
