This week we have been learning all about the weather! We have been keeping a weather chart this week and recording the weather every morning and afternoon! We spent some time thinking about the types of clothing we wear when the weather is wet and windy and learnt about waterproof materials. Teddy told us that he kept getting wet when he went out in the rain and that he needed an umbrella, but it had to be waterproof!
We predicted and tested materials such as cling film, tin foil, plastic, tissue and kitchen roll to see if they were waterproof or not. We then decided which material would be the best for Teddy to use to make his umbrella!
We have even sent home a weather chart for you to complete by yourself over the holiday with drawings of the different weather we have during the break.
In RE this week we have been learning about how Christians celebrate Easter and have looked at some Easter symbols such as the cross, the Hot Cross Bun and eggs. We have talked about how some of these symbols remind us of new life or remind us of parts of the Easter story. The children have made their own Easter cards and we even got to taste some Hot Cross Buns!
Have a wonderful Easter break!
