• Summer holiday sport club.

  Children have brought home a letter today about a new venture at St. John's. If your letter didn't make it home you can download a copy from the letters section of this school website.

  We will be hosting a summer holiday sports club from Monday 24th to Friday 28th August. All the information, the booking form and information about prices can be found on their website www.premiersport.org You can not book places through the school office.

  Please note that it will be Premier Sports staff who will be in charge of the week not staff from St. John's. All Premier sports staff have relevant first aid, child protection and sporting qualifications as well as enhanced DBS checks.

   

• Infants' sports day

  We have had to postpone today's sport afternoon for the infants. The grass is too wet for us to use. Sorry for any problems this causes, we hope to run it tomorrow, Tuesday 23rd instead. Fingers crossed for better weather.

• Y2 School trip letter

  Year 2 children have brought home a letter today, Monday 1st June, about their school trip on Friday 26th June to Conkers. A copy can be downloaded from the letter section of this website if your copy hasn't made it home!

  Derbyshire Local Authority have asked us to promote the following event by sharing the information below.

   

   

  Have you, or anyone you know, thought about fostering a child? Come to see us or spread the word about an event in Matlock on 21 May for people who might be thinking about fostering to meet foster carers?
  Foster carers need to be at least 21 years old. They can be single, married, in a civil partnership, in a same sex-relationship, or renting a home. We welcome people from all backgrounds.
  It's an informal opportunity to speak to foster carers and social workers. Anyone can drop in and they're welcome to bring the family. Appointments aren't necessary but if people want to talk to us you can call 0800 083 77 44.

  Just drop in to County Hall, from 5-7pm, on Thursday 21 May, 2015.
   

• Year 1 school trip letter

  All year 1 children brought home a letter on Wednesday 13th May  about their school trip to Sutton-on-Sea. The trip will take place on Tuesday 9th June. A copy can be downloaded from the letter section of this website if yours didn't make it home.

• CHAMPIONS

  Our 9 a side football team beat Oakwood 4-0 on Wednesday 6th May to become champions. Well done to all involved.
