  • Dinner Money

    For those parents and carers who like to pay for the whole term's dinners in advance, the amount this term is £68 if your child has dinners every day (7 week term with 1 inset day on Friday 27th November). Thank you. 

     

  • Traffic disruption

    Severn Trent have let us know that they will be carrying out work along Laund Nook for 3 weeks beginning 2nd November. Please be aware of this when driving around school as there will be disruption.

    They have assured us that water supply to St. John's will not be affected.

     

  • Holy Communion Preparation

    Father Michael Kirkham from Our Ladys Catholic Church has today asked us to advise parents of a new programme they are starting for children making their first Holy Communion. A meeting for parents is being held tomorrow, Tuesday 20th October, at 6.30pm at the church on Gibfield Lane, Belper. The programme is most suitable for Catholic children in year 3 who have been baptised and would like to work towards their first Holy Communion.   • Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal 2015

    This year we will once again be supporting The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

     

    If you would like your child to make a donation for a poppy, please send the donation in an envelope between Monday 2nd November and Wednesday November 11th (or until there are no poppies left!) when our Year 6 children will be visiting each class with the poppy boxes.

  • Attention Year 6 parents

    Even though it is still 11 months away, parents of children in year 6 who will be starting secondary school in September 2016, need to apply for their place at their secondary school before November 2015.

  • Driving with children in the car.

  • St Peter's Y6 & Y3 Harvest Workshops

    On Monday 21st September all of our Year 6 children will be walking to St Peter's Church to take part in a Harvest workshop, in preparation for their Harvest Service later in the term. (Children only)

     

    As part of their Scrumdiddlyumptious Project, our Year 3 children will be enjoying their Harvest Workshops at St Peter's Church on Tuesday 22nd September. (Children only)

  • New dates on school calendar

    Three more dates have been added to the school calendar thanks to the hard working volunteers of the PTA. At tonight's meeting (September 15th)we added the -

    1. Christmas discos - 11th December
    2. Infant Film night - 22nd January
    3. Year 6 prom - 15th July.

  • Parent Governor Vacancy

    We have vacancies for two parent governors on our governing body. Children brought paperwork home on Monday 14th September. If your paperwork didn't make it home CLICK HERE to down load a copy.

    If you have any question about joining the governing body please get in touch and one of our existing governors will give you a ring to let you know more about school governance.

    You need to return all paperwork and your nomination form by Monday 28th September 2015.

  • Tour of Britain Friday 11th September

    If the weather is good on Friday 11th September we intend to walk to Spencer road to watch the Tour of Britain cycle race come through Belper. The cyclists are expected to pass through Belper at about 2.30pm and we look forward to cheering them on their way.

    More information will be sent home in the first newsletter of the year on Tuesday 8th September.

    More information about the Tour of Britain can be found on the Tour website http://www.tourofbritain.co.uk/home.php . Please note that their will be several road closures in Belper on Friday 11th September in the afternoon and you may need to build this into any of your plans.
