  • Website Page Update

Thu 09 Dec 2021 Mrs Carvell

Our safeguarding page is full of information about how to keep our children safe but also offers much more. If you scroll down the page, you will find links to information, grant/voucher schemes, Early Help, support and advice which may be useful.

I wanted to make you aware of two new links that I've added today - Household Support Fund and Derbyshire Winter Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF).

Why not take a look by clicking on the link below?

  • Nativity tickets

    Thu 09 Dec 2021

All children have now brought home two tickets for adults to come and watch their Christmas nativities.

We are pleased that all families in reception and year 2 were able to get tickets for their first choice performance and that only a few families in year 1 had to have tickets for their second choice.

Families that did not complete the online order form have been sent two tickets home for one of the productions, the school can not swap these. In order to keep number of adults on site to a minimum we are not distributing any spare tickets.

Please make sure that you bring your tickets with you to the performances so that we can ensure we are only letting in the correct people, allowing us to keep the number of adults in the hall to a minimum at all times.

All adults will be required to wear a face covering in school and are asked to take an LFD test on the morning of the production.

  • Christmas Jumper day

    Thu 09 Dec 2021

Children are invited to wear festive jumpers, t-shirts and hair bands on Wednesday 15th December.

There is no charge for this, we'll just be doing it for fun and to help us enjoy our Christmas dinner day.

  • Lost Property

Thu 02 Dec 2021 Mrs Carvell

As was shared last week in the weekly headteacher blog, the considerable amount of lost/unclaimed property, which has accumulated since September (6 large bin bags!), has been placed outside school. This will be repeated tomorrow, at the end of the school day, as there was a significant amount still left unclaimed including coats, trainers, water bottles, lunch boxes, school jumpers and PE kits to name just a few.

We check through lost property regularly and do our very best to return items to their rightful owners. Where items are named and placed in the lost property box, this is easy and items are returned to the children. However, the vast amount of property is not named and therefore is impossible to return.

Please ensure all property is named and checked regularly so that it can be returned to you easily following a lost property check.

Thank you, and I hope you find anything that may be missing in the lost property abyss!

  • Lost property

    Thu 25 Nov 2021

We have a significant amount of unnamed items in lost property. These will be placed on tables outside (the front of) school for you to collect w/c 29th November.

Please make sure all clothes and property is named. Remember to write the first and surname of your child - and regularly check that the name hasn't washed out and faded.

  • Individual and sibling photographs

    Fri 12 Nov 2021

The school photographer will be in school on the morning of Monday 29th November for individual and sibling photographs.

We have been told that having the photographs taken then means that families will have time to order photographs as Christmas gifts.

The children will bring home the order form with them on Monday 29th November after they have had their picture taken.

Sorry, but there will be no opportunities for photographs of pre-school children before school as we normally do.

Nursery children who want a photograph taken but aren't in school on Monday 29th are welcome to come to school at 12.30pm with their parents to have their photograph taken.
